About Us

History

The Quinte Child Care Centre began over 35 years ago as the BCI Child Care Centre at the now closed Belleville Collegiate Institute and Vocational School as a drop-in program for adults who were returning to high school to earn their diploma. The BCI Child Care Centre moved to Quinte Secondary School in 1992 and began operating under the name of QSS Child Care Centre. We continued to offer licensed child care services to our community in that location until 2018.

Move to Park Dale Public School

After the closure of Quinte Secondary School, we continued our decades long partnership with the Hastings & Prince Edward District School Board as we moved just down the street to Park Dale Public School in November 2018.

Our Beliefs

Our staff believe that all children are competent, capable and rich in potential and we strive to offer each child the opportunities and support to pursue, share and celebrate their abilities and interests. Quinte Child Care knows that every child deserves a safe, warm and inclusive place to spend their day where respect and care are a priority. Each child will be made to feel that they belong, that their well-being is a priority and that they have the time and place to become fully engaged in their play.
